10 YEARS OF ABATTOIR FERMÉ:
THE CHAOS TRILOGY (HOME)
"I hate actors. Actors are work-shy
faggots.
I hate actresses. They're all dyke whores, cock-sucking their way up to the
top.
I hate theatre directors who think 500-year-old plays are 'relevant'.
Who's waiting for that? Nobody.
Nobody wants theatre."
Welcome to Lalaland, a metropolis where the apocalypse has already started. Mad dogs are on the loose in the corridors of run-down appartment buildings. People spit on each other, just to get some freshness in the blistering heat. Superheroes prefer a suiet suicide rather than sharing a miserable existence with techno-junkies, mister Panda's and wannabe-actresses.
The mad theatre director Wilfried Pateet Borremans is the nerve centre in a world gone mad. He has created an artificial universe in a cardboard box. The box contains a galaxy, in which life starts to evolve. And in that box he creates a theatre piece: horrible, weird and incomprehensibly deep.
Especially for its 10th anniversary, Abattoir Fermé remixes the pieces Indie, Tinseltown and Lala-land into a marathon version of this infamous trilogy.
